While speculations were rife that John Abraham will be playing the lead in 'Aankhen 2', according to new reports, the actor has opted out of the film.
John was supposed to play a blind man in the sequel, which is being helmed by director Anees Bazmee. They had earlier worked together on 'Welcome Returns'.
It seems the actor had to let go of the film, because of date issues. After his injury on the sets of 'Force 2', he took a few weeks off to recuperate, which caused his schedule to go haywire. Reports also suggest that the 'Rocky Handsome' actor hiked his price to ₹12 crores, which the makers of 'Aankhen 2' couldn't afford.
While the hunt is to find an actor who can replace John, Amitabh Bachchan will retain his role as the antagonist in this sequel. Earlier, it was rumoured that Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampal, who were a part of the first installment 'Aankhen', had dropped out of 'Aankhen 2'. The original film, which is based on the Gujarati play 'Andhalo Pato', also featured Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen.
