After some really emotional films, like 'Highway' where Alia Bhatt outperformed herself as a young girl who wishes to break free of the societal norms, who was subject to child molestation to another heart-warming Tia in 'Kapoor & Sons', who tries to cope with her parents sudden demise and balance a really emotional relationship, Alia's next outing is something light-hearted and fun.
With what looks like a sequel of the hit 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', Alia plays a really fun character in 'Badrinath ki Dulhaniya' in her third with Varun Dhawan, directed by Shashank Khaitan (who also directed HSKD). She mentions that along with it being a fun film, it involves a very different kind of acting which makes the film even more interesting. It will be nice to see the bubbly actress come back to playing a chirpy and chilled-out character after a long time, alongside the Varun, who plays a cool 'Badri' from Jhansi.
