Farhan Akhtar, the critically acclaimed director of films such as Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshya had discovered a new passion for singing in his acting debut venture “Rock On”, which eventually paid off well. The director/ actor/singer was much appreciated for his vocals in Rock On. The news that is going around off late is that Farhan refused to lend his vocals for Aamir’s next with Reema Kagti.
Incidentally, Aamir’s next is produced by Farhan’s Excel productions. Add to it, Reema did work with Farhan before becoming director for Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd... Reema is known to have a great taste for music and it did prove as “Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd” album was a chartbuster. So when she approached Farhan to lend his voice for one of the songs to be picturised on the Perfectionist Khan, the answer was “No” from Farhan.
Sources reveal that Farhan cherishes singing only for his characters. He feels that the characters he portrays would sync in and gets established if he sings for them, not for others. Well, we understand Farhan but we wonder whether you’ll regret if the song becomes a chartbuster, after all it’s “Aamir” who is syncing to the voice.
