Mahesh Bhatt is known to be a man who doesn't think twice before walking on the paths never traveled before. An activist-by-choice, Bhatt has always supported Bollywood in its time of need. And at many an occasion, people he has defended didn't belong to his own school of thought. True to his image, he joined hands with Aamir Khan and pledged support for him in his tussle with the 'Fascist Forces' in Gujarat who've been advocating a hate-campaign against Aamir's latest film Fanaa.
Mahesh Bhatt will be filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the Gujarat Government in the Supreme Court today in support of Aamir. When the political parties launched a scathing attack on Aamir, Bhatt sent a Text Message to him and they spoke. It is notable that Bhatt and Khan hadn't spoken to each other for eight years after the 'differences' between them during the shooting of Ghulam. Earlier, they've worked together on hit films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke and Dil Hai Ki Maanta Hi Nahin.
In the meanwhile, Fanaa is breaking Box Office Records as it has hit the jack pot with a booty of Rs 12 Crore in first four days in India. It has been declared as the first Complete Universal Hit since Gadar-Ek Prem Katha as it has uniformly done well in all the territories. Even in Bihar where an Ajay Devgan rules the roost and Khans haven't had a conventional stronghold, Kunal Kohli's unconventional love saga is witnessing unprecedented response at the ticket window. If the indications are to be believed then it shall be the second biggest hit Yash Raj film after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. In the overseas territory, Fanaa shall find a place amongst top five films ever and it is all set to be Aamir Khan's biggest hit abroad.
It's time to 'go fida' over Fanaa.
