The talented film maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has revisited his past and dug up an old gem to present it again in a different form.
His film 'Parinda' which came out in the year 1989 was a huge hit and was India's official entry for the 63rd Annual Academy Awards for the best foreign language film category.
It was released at a time when Bollywood was ruled by the charm of the young Jackie Shroff and one of the best onscreen pairs of Bollywood history, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
The film had the presence of powerhouse talents like Anupam Kher and Nana Patekar in key roles to give it an edge.
As the reach and image of B-Town has now got extended and projects in association with Hollywood no longer remain a distant dream, 'Parinda' is to be remade in English.
The new avatar will be called as 'Broken Horses' and Reliance Entertainment is at the helm of the project.
According to some reports, Vidhu Vinod Chopra is thinking of having Amitabh Bachchan for the role portrayed by Nana Patekar.
The characters of the brothers played by Anil and Jackie will be handled by two Hollywood actors.
