There was a lot of speculation over what Gauri Shinde’s unconventional romantic drama starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt would be called, but now, we hear, the director has decided to go ahead with her working title — 'Dear Zindagi'. Sources say the film is targeting a mid-November release.
A source says, “There were many thoughts about the title since the film is about an unusual love story. Many reports claimed it had been titled Walk The Talk and Project 51. But, ultimately, the entire team unanimously agreed that Dear Zindagi was perfect for the script because it shows Alia’s journey with four different characters and SRK.”
The four different characters that Alia will be seen dating before she eventually meets Shah Rukh are Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi.
Jointly being produced by SRK and Karan Johar, the film is likely to hit theatres after another KJo production, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, releases during Diwali (October 28). “We want to avoid a clash with other films releasing the same month — Rock On 2 (November 11) and Kahaani 2 (November 25). So, we are looking forward to a mid-November date,” a source close to the project says.
Gauri and Karan remained unavailable for comment.
