Whilst the Bollywood troupe to CANNES consisting of actors & actresses has been shying away from wearing anything ethnic & Indian and preferring ARMANIs and CAVALLis, Viviek as usual has proved an exception to the rule. He has proudly sported a greater degree of Indian exotica and looks dapper in designer Arjun Khanna's 'MAHARAJAH' Collection.
Says Viviek, "I hated the idea of wearing a Western suit to CANNES. And since I wanted to promote the Indian adaptation of Othello, OMKARA, it would be most appropriate to wear Indian. I wanted to wear Indian; it couldn't be anything else whilst representing Bollywood in the international arena"
Viviek created quite a storm at Cannes with his cool demeanor and style quotient at the promotion of his film 'OMKARA'. He was style personified as he addressed the media briefing on the adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello on a boat in the afternoon session.
He wore a cool baby pink shirt and a linen beige jacket with detailing and a bluish grey corduroy jeans and an off white crocodile skin leather shoes to complement it. Viviek carried the look with loads of attitude, designed by Arjun Khanna.
At the cocktail party in the night held at the Nikki Beach Resort that boasted a lot of Hollywood presence, Viviek wore an off white Jodhpuri, teamed with a black Sherwani with a designed collar. It was the showpiece for the Maharajah collection of Arjun Khanna at the recently held India fashion week.
Says designer Arjun, Viviek has got the height, style and the right attitude to carry it off. He will definitely be emerging as a style icon in the near future!!
This is what a visibly excited Viviek had to comment, "I had a blast in CANNES. I am really excited by the way OMKARA has shaped up. I am really excited more so because Ajay and me are together after COMPANY and YUVA. Guess it's gonna be a third time lucky !! And Arjun is truly a Rock star, I love his sense of design and style.
Incidentally Viviek had loved his Rock Star collection which Arjun had showcased last year. Adds Arjun, "Its such a co-incidence when I heard that Viviek is nicknamed 'Rock star' since his college days. Trust me, He is truly gonna rock in the near future as a style icon. He has got it in him!!
