If this one is true then, it sure is the most voluptuous bit of news, especially before the big release.
A Mumbai based tabloid has reported today that Anu Malik is not the composer of Shirish Kunder's 'Jaaneman'. Apparently Shirish didn't like the compositions of Malik.
Then whose compositions are being passed on in Malik's name? Well, it is being said that G Prakash, nephew of AR Rahman has given his compositions to the film.
The nineteen year old master musician has already made the likes of Shankar Mahadevan and Alka Yagnik sing to his tunes. He was helping Shirish with the background score of 'Jaaneman' and instead his tunes are now being passed off in Malik's name as well. During the MusicMazaa music review, I repeatedly said that Anu Malik must thank his music arrangers for giving a cutting edge to fantastic compositions like 'Ajnabi Sheher', 'Humko Maloom Hai' and 'Jaane Ke Jaane Na' for it is difficult to believe that the same composer who gave an okey dokey 'Zindaggi Rocks' sounds superlative in his next release.
If this information is true then Anu Malik has some serious rethinking to be done about his Bollywood plans. For no amount of chest beating against Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam really matters if he lacks originality.
