Abhivyakthi Chitra's 'Naanu Gandhi' produced and directed by N.R.Nanjunde Gowda has bagged the 10th International Children Film Festival, Columbia. This is the first award a Kannada film has bagged in Columbia festival. This also happens to be the first year of institution of such award. Screened at Cartagena the secretary of education of the district gives the certificate for educational contents in the film 'Naanu Gandhi'.
The President of the selection committee Gerardo Nieto has congratulated all those who have contributed for the making of 'Naanu Gandhi' Kannada children film in which Master Likith son of director Gowda plays the lead role.
'Naanu Gandhi' had taken part in the Toronto children film festival recently. The film is based on Dr.Besagarahalli Ramanna's 'Gandhi' novel.
Sadashiva Brahmavar, Ramesh Bhat, Sunder Rau, Pramila Joshai, Mandya Ramesh are in the supporting roles of this film. Nagaraj Advani is the cameraman and Raju Upendrakumar has scored the music.
