The set of a grand house that is being used for Sudeep-Ravichandran starrer Mirchi has cost the producer Rs 35 lakh. There is a permanent set of a house in Hyderabad which was first built for SS Rajamouli's Maryada Ramanna. This has been used for more than 25 Telugu films so far. When a new film is shot, alterations are made to the set and over the last few years, the house has undergone so many changes that it does not look anything like how it was first. The biggest change has now been made to the set for the Kannada film.
Sources in the film team said that changes worth Rs 35 lakh has been made and the set now looks nothing like it has been seen the two dozen Telugu films or so. Another set, which is similarly used by many films is also being altered for use. The shooting in the new set has commenced and Sudeep is gung ho about how the work is progressing. Movie is produced by N Kumar.
