Vijay starrer 'Shivajinagara' which has been in the news for quite sometime has been launched on Friday at the Ramanjaneya Temple in Hanumanthanagar. The film was launched in a simple function with Malashree clapping for the first shot.Though Shivajinagar is very famous for rowdism, director P N Satya says the film has nothing to do with rowdism. 'The film is not based on any real incidents, but has a fictional story. Kumar from Hyderabad who has earlier worked for Puri Jagannadh's films have written the story.
The story is about a family living in a clumsy area. We thought it would be better to place the story in Shivajinagara and we have also title the film as 'Shivajinagara'' says P N Satya.
This is Vijay's third film in Ramu Enterprises banner and earlier the actor has acted in 'Rakshasa' and 'Kanteerava'. 'I play a role of a middle class teenager called Ram in this film. The film is all about what happens when a middle class youth falls into addiction and how the family overcomes it' says Vijay. Avinash plays Vijay's father while Sumitra and Triveni plays Vijay's mothers in the film.
