The multi-starrer Kannada movie John Jani Janardhan has wrapped its shooting and has moved on to the post-production phase. The movie is gearing up for a theatrical release in September. Guru Deshpande of the Raaja Huli and Rudrathandava fame has directed the flick. It is said to be a remake of the Malayalam hit film. However, Guru has made necessary changes to make the script more suitable for the Kannada audience.
Ajay Rao, 'Loose Mada' Yogesh and 'Darling' Krishna are playing the lead roles in the movie. Action Queen Malashree will also be seen playing an important role in the movie. Aindrita Ray will be seen in a couple of scenes and a song featuring all the three lead actors. The film is produced by Padhmanabhan, Shashikiran and Girish under their newly formed banner MR Pictures. Before the launch of the film, it was rumoured that Mutthappa Rai is producing the movie; however, it was later clarified that he is only presenting the film.
Arjun Janya has composed the music and this is his first film with director Guru, heroes Ajay Rao and Krishna. Santosh Rai Pathaje is the director of photography. KM Prakash is the editor. Stunts in the film are choreographed by Ravi Varma and songs are choreographed by Murali V. Special song featuring Aindrita has been choreographed by Murali and it's what the audience will be awaiting to see the most. Mohan B. Kere has taken care of the artwork. The makers are planning to release the audio in August and are working towards it. Also, post-production work is in full swing under the supervision of Guru Deshpande. The team is leaving no stone unturned to get the film to hit the screens by September.
