'Aa Dinagalu' based on underworld happenings in and around 1986 written in the book format by Agni Sridhar in 'Dadagiriya Dinagalu' is a subject for K.M.Chaitanya in his first film. Gnanapeeth award winner Dr.Girish Karnad has written the screenplay for this film while the music maestro Ilayaraja has scored music for two songs and done the background score the most essential part of the film.

The former don Agni Sridhar now the editor of tabloid 'Agni' in Kannada and English has written the dialogues for his own script.
