Karinkunnam Sixes, the upcoming Manju Warrier starring sports drama has finally got a release date. The Deepu Karunakaran directed movie will hit the theatres on July 7th, for Ramzan season.
The movie, which is scripted by Arunlal Ramachandran, will have Manju Warrier in the role Vandana, a volleyball coach who is assigned to train the prisoners. The actress is playing a sports woman, for the first time in her career. Manju Warrier is teaming up with Deepu Karunakaran, the Fireman fame film-maker, for the first time. She is also sharing the screen with Anoop Menon, for the first time in her career.
Karinkunnam Sixes depicts the story of a prestigious volleyball match and how a lady coach trains the prisoners team for it. Anoop Menon, the popular actor-writer plays Manju Warrier's husband in the movie.
Suraj Venjarammoodu, State award-winner Sudev Nair, Lena, Sudheer Karamana, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Baiju, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Manikuttan, Nandu, Jacob Gregory, etc. play the supporting roles in the movie.
Jayakrishna Gummadi is the director of photography. Rahul Raj composes the songs and background score. Karinkunnam Sixes is produced by Jayalal Menon and Anil Biswas, under the banner Backwater Studios.
