FUUAST extends last date for admission to Dec 26

Director Admission Committee of Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology (FUUAST) Muhammad Siddique has announced extension in the last date of submission of admission forms for BS and master’s program (morning shift) at Karachi campus to 26 December.

In a release on Monday, he said that admissions at Arts Faculty of Abdul Haq Campus would be given on merit in subjects of Urdu, Islamyat, English, Education, B Ed, General History, Islamic History, Political Science, Special Education, Sindhi, Arabic, International Relations and Social welfare while in Law Faculty admissions would be given on merit in LLB and LLM and in Business Administration Faculty admissions would be given in Economic and Commerce.

At Gulshan Campus Science Faculty the admissions would be given on merit in Geology, Statistics, Chemistry, Zoology, Bio Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Micro Biology, Mathematics and Environmental Science.

At Abdul Haq Campus under Faculty of Business Administration admission in BBA while at Gulshan Campus under Department of Computer Science Admissions in BS Networking, BS Software system,under Pharmacy Faculty admission in Pharm D and under Science Faculty admissions in BS Geology would be given on the basis of NTS test.

According to Director Admission Committee, students of Religious Seminaries who have degree of ‘Shahadat-ul-Aalia, could get conditional admissions this year in MA Arabic and Islamyat and they would have to pass compulsory subjects of BA.

He said that for admission in BS Arts and MA minimum required marks are 45% while for admission in BS Science are 50% except those departments whose details have been given in the prospectus. Those students who have passed their last exams before 2007 are not eligible for admission in arts faculty while those who have passed their last exams before 2009 are not eligible to get admission in science subjects.

Admission forms can be obtained from Askari bank, Allied bank and United Band branches located on University road Gulshin-e-Iqbal. From Askari and Allied banks branches located on Baba-e-Urdu road and Bohra Pir branch of Askari bank. The forms are also available on the University website.
