Ajith seems to be a new person. Both his looks and outlook are fresh. He was composed and balanced when he met the media persons yesterday (November 23) evening in Hotel Green Park, Chennai.
The handsome actor was all along smiling, thinking, and carefully coining his words. He did not react in haste to any of the question. He responded politely even to the provoking ones.
A reporter asked about his choice of heroine when he said he would do a film directed by Raju Sundaram. 'Will it be Trisha or Nayantara or Shreya? Whom do you prefer?' Ajith smiled. 'The story is not ready yet', was his response.
Another reporter tried poked at him when he expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards his fans for their loyalty despite many flops. 'If you have so many fans to support you, then why your films fail?' was the question thrown on him.
Ajith did not rush to respond. He did not evade the question either. He took his time and put forth his views gently. 'The opening for my films proves that I have lot of fan following. If the content is not good, the film will not run for a long, for which we cannot blame the fans.'
'Age brings in maturity', was his response to a question about his change in approach when talking to the press. 'Now I am running 37. I can't keep on talking the way I did when I was younger. If you meet me after ten years, you might see a much more matured person in me', said the actor.
He also clarified that the press meet was not aimed at promoting his film Billa, which hits the screens by next month. 'It is not my habit', said the actor. 'I don't promote my films and I don't boast my successes either'.
He even declined to give any details on the specialties of Billa. 'It is up to you to tell me what is special in Billa after seeing the movie', was his request in response to the query.
The approach of the charming young hero, clad in light cream jeans and white shirt, has definitely changed. He refused to make any sweeping statements or assertive replies. Yet he was firm on his own style and clear in his thoughts and expressions.
After finishing the formal press meet, he entertained the media persons who wanted to shoot some photographs and ask some exclusive questions. He was seen chatting with almost everyone and generously posing to the photographers for a long time.
It was a different Ajit ' polite, thoughtful, and matured. The only thing that hasn't changed is his inimitable charm.
