Let's stop recycling old titles for new Tamil movies, said actor-director Bhagiyaraj.
Speaking at a function to launch the book 'The Legends of Indian Cinema - Sivaji Ganesan written by S Theodore Baskaran, he heaped laurels on Sivaji Ganesan and described him as an peerless actor.
The book launched in memory of Sivaji Ganesan talks about his life and passion for acting. It was unveiled by producer A V M Saravanan and the first copy was received by Ramkumar, Sivaji Ganesan's son.
The other series of ' The legends of Indian Cinema ' on Hindi film legends was released by AVM Saravanan and was received by the well known cinematographer and director Balu Mahendra.
On the occasion, the author of the book, S Theodore Baskaran said, ' the younger generation should be aware of legends like P U Chinnapa, Thygaraja Bhagavadhar and the man who produced the first Tamil film, Nataraja Mudaliayar.'
'Sivaji Ganesan is one among of the legends who should be remembered forever. Cinema should be a part of the academic curriculum and students should be taught to encourage good cinema', said Balu Mahendra.
The book is published by Wisdom Tree Publishing House.
