Director Cheran known for his incredible talent with movies such as 'Bharathikannama' and 'Autograph' has been quite regular as an actor even in movies he doesn't direct. His supposed relationship with co artistes and his attitude with other filmmakers have been making headlines for quite sometime.
A visibly emotionally unstable Cheran did not mince any words hitting back at members of the press with an unparliamentarily and derogatory word at the audio launch function of 'Raman Thediya Seethai' in which he stars.
A publication had recently carried an article that highlighted his 'close relationship' with his female costar in the film 'Pokkisham' that he directs as well as stars in. Hitting back at the press for carrying out the article, the emotionally unstable Cheran used the derogatory word which incidentally rhymes with the nickname of the female lead.
Cheran also hinted at giving up cinema once and for all after he makes enough money to clear the debts he got himself into producing the film 'Mayakannadi'. He said he has serious thoughts of going back to his village to lead a peaceful life.
As soon as Cheran finished his speech angry members of the press protested at his words with quite some fierceful resentment.
Cheran's indiscipline has the potential for unpleasantness especially in a country that respects and hails the freedom of the press.
