Director Jananathan, whose maiden venture Iyyarkai won a national award, is hopeful that his forthcoming release E would meet success at the box office.
Speaking about the film, the director says, 'though my earlier film won rave reviews, it failed to collect money. E will compensate it.'
The movie stars Jeeva and Nayantra in the lead roles.
A major portion of the movie has been shot. Iyyarkai fame Ekambaram handles the camera.
On the movie, Jananathan, says, 'E refers to Eswaran, the lead role being played by Jeeva. Nayantra plays a bar dancer in the movie. We have tried to fuse reality with fantasy in the movie and the output has amazed every one of us. Comedy, action and romance have come out well'.
On Jeeva, the director, says, 'Such a simple actor, he is very co-operative and has a sincere attitude towards his profession.'
Some portions of the movie were shot in heavy floods which ravaged the city a few months ago.
Thanking producer R B Choudhary for giving him enough liberties in canning what he wanted, Jananathan, says, ' The movie would not be run-of-the-mill'.
