It’s official. The fourth installment of the super-successful Golmaal franchise, titled Golmaal Again, will be hitting theaters next Diwali. Reportedly, Rohit Shetty will also be retaining Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor from the previous film while talks are on to replace Kareena Kapoor Khan with Shraddha Kapoor.
Rumors had recently surfaced of Shetty and the film’s leading man/co-producer, Ajay Devgn, mulling over shifting the release date to avoid a clash with the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer, 2.o, which is also eyeing a Diwali release next year. However, a spokesperson from the film dismissed these rumors saying, “The recent media rumors doing the rounds about Golmaal Again not releasing next Diwali to avoid the clash with another superstar's movie are completely untrue.”
Elaborating on why they’ve chosen the Diwali period for their film’s release, the source was quoted by DNA saying, “The makers will be releasing the film next year on Diwali. As of now, they don't possess information about any other big release next year, which hereby squashes the news of any such clash.”
The first shooting schedule of Golmaal Again is set to commence early next year.
