Actor Silambarasan's 'Idhu Namma Aalu' which has released on Friday after a long delay has got a bumper opening. The romantic-comedy directed by Pandiraj has reportedly collected Rs.4 crores on its opening day in Tamil Nadu.
The film has been screened 281 shows across 17 theaters in the city. It has got a phenomenal 97% theater occupancy rate in the first three days due to positive word of mouth and with this the film has exceeded the one crore collection mark (Rs.1,33,41,030) in its first weekend in Chennai alone.
This is the biggest ever opening for Simbu as well as Pandiraj films.
The film stars Nayanthara as the female lead and Soori as the lead comedian. The inclusion of these two talented performers has contributed immensely for the reach of the film among audience.
