In what might be good news to millions of fans of superstar Rajinikanth across the world, it is intimated that Rajini’s salt-and-pepper looks (with white beard) in his upcoming film Kabali would only be for about 20 minutes as Rajini would be sporting a youthful look for the rest of the film.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by ‘Kalaipuli’ Thanu, Kabali has music by Santhosh Narayanan. The first-look posters, teaser and audio of the film have been colossal hits with the masses and fans of Rajini across the globe. Kabali has already become a ‘global’ film as it is slated to release in mre than 55 countries including its dubbed versions in Chinese and Malay.
First-look posters and promotional teasers showed Rajini in an aged don’s get-up and only showed a fleeting glimpse of a ‘youthful’ Rajini. However, it appears that the aged don’s get-up in the film would last only for 20 minutes as Rajini would appears in his youthful form for the rest of the 160 minutes of the film which is slated to run for 180 minutes as of now (in its pre-censored version).
Rajini’s youthful looks have been modeled after his looks in several hit films in the 80’s and 90’s. The script of Kabali is about Tamils who were taken away forcibly as bonded labour by the British and forced to work in Malaysia. Rajini reportedly plays a revolutionary in the film who fights hard to rescue the trapped Tamils. “Though it’s an action-packed venture, it has plenty of emotional sequences as well,” says Ranjith.
