Kamal Haasan has revealed that the veteran writer Jayakanthan is his hero. He said this in a function that marked the launch of a book on the renowned artist K.M. Aadimoolam, who had passed away on January 15, 2008.
Aadimoolam was a distinguished artist from Tamil Nadu, who had received many prestigious awards at National and International levels.
Kamal Haasan paid tributes to the veteran artist in his brief speech that followed the book release. He recalled his tryst with drawing/painting in a humorous manner. He also recalled his relationship with Aadimoolam.
Kamal released the book compiled by senior journalist and writer Mana in the function that took place in the Film Chambers on February 10. Jayakanthan received the copy.
The book was the first book of a new publication named 'Uyir Ezhuthu', owned and edited by poet Sudhir Senthil.
Many imminent persons like writers Jayakanthan, Sa. Kanthasamy, artists Dakshinamoorthy, Trotsky Marudu, art director Krishnamoorthy, and actor Nasser attended the function and delivered emotional and thought provoking speeches on the artist.
