Director P Vasu has said that 'Kuselan' has turned out to be a Kuberan at the box office. He dismissed reports in a section of media that it had put up a bad show at the box office.
Speaking about the film, Vasu says, 'after I saw 'Katha Parayumbol', I agreed to do the Tamil adaptation of the film. I had no thoughts of having Rajinikanth in the cast because the role was a miniscule one in the original. However when the idea struck me, I urged him to be part of the project. Since the film reflected his real life, he readily agreed to do it'.
Vasu, who worked with Kamal Haasan in 'Dasavatharam' heaped laurels on his dedication to excel in varied roles. 'He was keen to get his act right and starved many days to prepare himself for it.'
'Rajinikanth is a man of perfection and he knows what to give his audiences. He is a mass hero, who knows the pulse of his fans', Vasu said.
