Mayakkannadi, which brings director Cheran and Navya Nair together for the first time, is all set for a release this April 12.
Cheran, interestingly, is also the director of this film. Another interesting fact about this film is that the story is set in an urban backdrop unlike Cheran's earlier films. The pictures of this film have him sporting a different get-up altogether and this gives us an impression that Mayakkannadi will be a different film from the path-breaking director's stable.
Mayakkannadi is produced by veteran Panchu Arunachalam's son Srinivasan under his Chellamai Celluloid banner. Dwaraknath is the cinematographer for this film.
