Namitha reportedly is geared up for a glam show in 'Jagan Mohini', the remake of the 1978 classic that virtually took the Tamil film industry by storm.
Produced by H Murali and directed by N K Viswanathan, the new version is nearing completion. On the reason behind casting Namitha, Murali said, 'Why Namitha? She's one actress with glamour. She was the first name that came to our minds.'
Says Viswanathan: 'The new version will be made with state-of-the-art techniques. The scene where Namitha harvests pearls underwater will be a major highlight.'
'Namitha has been given special training on harvesting pearls underwater and when the scene was shot in Andaman, fishermen gathered in large numbers to watch and applaud her feat', says Viswanathan.
After a brief gap, Nila is back in Tamil to play the role of the prince's consort. Ilayaraja is scoring the music for 'Jagan Mohini'.
