There is always a complaint in Tamil Nadu. Due to the advent of English medium and schools that force students to always speak in English. the number of people who use Tamil in their day to vocal and written conversation is getting reduced day by day. While this is a genuine cause of concern, it has to be noted that the user friendly Tamil font keypads are enabling a gradual linguistic revolution in online portals. The number of Tamil youngsters who would otherwise hesitate to write Tamil are trying to express their thoughts in their mother tongue in social media at least as a style statement or to be identified as unique.
Even the film industry celebrities have started sending messages in Tamil language in their respective social media page. Superstar Rajinikanth wrote his thoughts about 'Visaranai' through a tweet written in Tamil. Kamal Haasan whose proficiency and true love for Tamil language is well known has been using both Tamil and English in his regular tweets.
Now as a sweet surprise to all of us, 'Isaipuyal' A.R.Rahman who made our Tamil language echo in the Oscar award ceremony has now started using Tamil in his social media page also. The Oscar Nayagan has written a detailed post about the musical content of his latest release'Rasali' single track for 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada' which was released yesterday.
