Pooja is thrilled at her long-pending 'Oram Po' releasing in theatres this week-end. The young actress, who has managed to make a name for her in Sinhala films too, says:
'I have played a sweet character in 'Oram Po'. It has come out well. Hopefully audience would love it'.
The movie, directed by the husband-wife team of Pushkar and Gayathri features Pooja in a deglamourised role. She plays a girl who owns a biriyani shop.
'I liked the idea. I prepared myself by observing several such women in close quarters to contribute my best on the screen. Apart from my character, I liked the story very much.I agreed to do the role after listening to the one-liner they narrated me. The director couple was fresh, and enthusiastic about their work.'
Pooja is equally thrilled to act Bala's 'Naan Kadavul'. Without divulging details about her character, Pooja says, 'I am playing the dream role of my life. My character assumes greater significance in the movie. Bala has been extracting the best from me'.
