Everyone, who visited the picturesque Goa for the International Film Festival got awe stuck. No. The reason is not the beauty of the costal town. Nor even the films that were screened in the Festival. It was the cut outs and posters of a tribal man with a cell phone in his hand.
You guessed it right. The visuals were from a Tamil movie 'Aadivaasiyum Athisayapesiyum', which was launched last week.
The novel idea of portraying a tribal man who accidentally comes across the ultra modern gadget came to director Malan, who was working with Suresh Krishna as an assistant director. He has now begun his directorial journey with this fun filled film.
When he thought of a right person, who could depict the predicaments of the tribal man, the one and only person, who came to his mind was Senthil.
We know Senthil the comedian. He has created a history of sorts teaming up with Goundamani. He has also single handedly made us burst into laughter in many films. But have you ever imagined Senthil as a hero?
'Senthil is the main stay of my film. Without him, I can't make this movie. I can't imagine anybody else for the role', says producer P.B. Babu with excitement.
Agreed. Senthil could do wonders with this character. It could be a perfect launch pad for him to become a hero.
You also have comedians like Mayilsamy, Vyapuri and Ramesh Aravind to enhance the comical impact.
The shooting will commence from next month. The first schedule will be in Singapore and the second and last one will be in South Africa. The movie will be a summer release.
According to Babu it is a 'summer bonanza' for all, especially children. 'We are sure that the movie would get repeat audience'.
Babu and Sivaramakrishnan produce this under the banner of BBC International. The Camera is handled by Kasi Viswa, while GK takes care of Art. Kasi VIswanathan, who has received many awards in sate and national level for editing handles the editing. Music will be composed by Chakri.
