The trend for making remakes seems to have died down a wee bit. However this is the season for making sequels in Tamil Cinema.
Soundarya Rajinikanth, daughter of Super Star Rajinikanth is reportedly planning to do a sequel to 'Billa'. R K Selvamani has completed the shooting for the sequel to his hit film 'Pulan Visarani', which he has titled 'Pulan Visaranai II'. Bhagyaraj is directing his son Sathanoo for 'Puthiya Varpugal'.
Meanwhile, Vishal too is eager to do a sequel to his forthcoming release 'Sathyam'.
Addressing media persons, the actor said, ' 'Sathyam', which is a cop story, has come out really well. It would be released on the 14 of August. Director A Rajasekar has given his best'.
'We are planning for a sequel to 'Sathyam'. But I am not sure when it would go to the floors. All depends on the success of 'Sathyam' ', he said.
