VJ-turned-actress Shriya Reddy has caught the Kollywood by storm thanks to a good show in Thimiru.
She plays an arrogant woman in the movie. She is getting congratulatory messages from all quarters.
Says Shriya, 'I owe everything to director Tharun Gopi. He chiseled my role with care. Taught me the expressions that I reproduced on the screen. Equally supportive were my co-stars'.
Daughter of former Indian cricketer Bharath Reddy, Shriya said, 'My entry into films was accidental. I made my debut with Appadu Appadu in Telugu. Though it was an off-beat film, it did not do well at the box office. Fortunate to act with Mammootty in Black. It gave me fame and name. Then happened Bharathchandran IPS with Suresh Gopi'.
On Thimiru, Shriya says, 'Tharun Gopi had approached me several times to act in the movie. Initially I was hesitant fearing that it would be a glamorous role. However when I was narrated the script, I immediately accepted to do the movie'.
Shriya Reddy is keenly awaiting the release of Veyyil where is cast opposite Pasupathy.
Director Shankar is producing the movie.
