Flashback to the time ‘Shamitabh’ was released and the chemistry between Amitabh Bachan and Dhanush was the talk of the town and their acting won universal praises all over. Reliable sources report that Superstar Rajinikanth was so impressed with the film that he immediately called on his high profile director friends in the industry to come up with a story that will feature him in a role suiting his age with Dhanush as the parallel lead. Things, however did not work out at that time.
Flash forward to the present, we’ve had the overnight announcement that Superstar Rajinikanth’s next after ‘2.0’ will be directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner.
Now the million dollar question is whether this will be the dream come true project, which will have Rajini playing his age with Dhanush as the young hero? We sure hope so and are keeping our fingers crossed.
