Though he has completed over 55 films including blockbusters like Chinna Thambi and Chandramukhi, P Vasu still considers himself a student of cinema.
There is a lot to learn and one has to keep adapting to the emerging trends and tastes of the audience. Every film is a new beginning and a fresh challenge, he says.
On the Chandramukhi experience, he says, 'Great expectations put more pressure on me. But I love challenges. Rajini always wanted Chandramukhi to be a super hit. From day one I knew the film would be a success because of its storyline and most importantly, the Rajini factor. But I did not quite expect the film to reach the 500-day mark'.
Asked why he hasn't worked with Kamal Haasan, Vasu says, ' It should have happened long time back. He is such a talented film personality, with whom I always wanted to work with. Now efforts are on to direct Kamal Haasan soon. Perhaps next year, I would be directing one of the country's best actor'.
Now that's interesting.
