Actor Vidyut Jamwal, who proved his mettle in Tamil films such as "Billa 2" and "Anjaan", says he's waiting for an opportunity to essay a role as powerful as the one he played in A.R Murugadoss-directed "Thuppakki".
"Lot of people kept asking me why I didn't take up more projects after 'Thuppakki'. Honestly, I didn't get anything as exciting and powerful as that role. The reason I did 'Anjaan' was because I really liked my role and the film had good content," Vidyut told.
In "Thuppakki", Vidyut played a menacing leader of a sleeper cell group, and his role was lauded by critics and fans alike.
In Bollywood, Vidyut is busy with a slew of projects.
First up is "Yaara" with Irrfan Khan and Shruti Haasan.
"It's a story about the characters aging from young guns to mature adults. It's about friendship, love and betrayal," he said, adding that Shruti is an incredible co-star.
"Apart from the fact that she's the daughter of one of India's biggest superstar (Kamal Haasan), she's someone who has made her own path in the industry. I really respect her for that", he added.
Vidyut will soon start working on the sequel to his 2013 action film "Commando".
