Actress Ramya Krishnan, who impressed audiences as Queen Sivagami in S.S Rajamouli's "Baahubali", is all set to play a ghost in upcoming Telugu film "Rudraksha", to be directed by her husband-filmmaker Krishna Vamsi.
Ramya has teamed up with her husband after a decade.
"Ramya plays a ghost, a wandering soul in the film. Though she has played goddesses on several occasions, this is the first time she will be essaying the role of a ghost," a source from the film's unit told.
"However, she won't be portrayed like how usually ghosts are showcased in southern cinema. This will be a much refined character which was originally offered to Prakash Raj, who couldn't take it up due to prior commitments," the source added.
The regular shooting of "Rudraksha", which also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is expected to start from June. The project is tipped to be the most expensive film in the career of the director.
According to industry sources, "Rudraksha" will be high on visual effects and nearly a hour of the film will be shot using computer graphics.
Ramya Krishnan will next team up with Kamal Haasan for a project, also starring Shruti Haasan.
The duo is joining hands after a decade and will be playing husband and wife in this family drama, which will have story by Kamal and will be directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar.
