Tollywood comedians are daring their way, entering into the big competition as heroes. It is known that Ali, Venu Madhav, Suneel, Krishna Bhagavan, and Brahmanandam have tried their hands in this transition. Latest in the que is 'Satyam' Rajesh, who was introduced as a comedian with 'Satyam' that starred Sumanth as hero.
The new film casting 'Satyam' Rajesh as hero will be produced by an industrialist from Vizag. A young director is said to be introduced with this film.
Earlier this year Ali in 'Somberi', Venu Madhav in 'Hungama' & 'Premabishekam' , Suneel in 'Andala Ramudu', Krishna Bhagavan in 'John Apparao 40 plus' and the comedy king Brahmanandam's ' Brahmanandam Drama Company' have tried their hands in becoming heroes. But looks like transitions don't always come easy, and they all failed to impress.
Ironically, these comedians have carved a niche for themselves in Telugu filmdom and drew applause even in star-centric films. May be it is a case of the actors have chosen bad scripts. Whatever it is, a niche attains itself for people of different strata in the filmdom and if comedians wish to make it to stardom, it would be one big task to attain this transition.
