Energetic Star Ram who tasted success earlier with 'Nenu Sailaja' faced mixed reviews and negative talk with 'Hyper'. The movie which released on September 30th has completed its first week of its run. As per Box-Office reports, the movie has minted around Rs.9 Crores in two Telugu speaking states.
This is a decent performance if the distribution rights were sold for mediocre prices. But as they were sold for high rates, this is a very poor Box-Office record. Now with Dusshera season, 'Hyper' is finding it tough to attract audience at Ticket window.
The movie will have a very tough time to recover Rs.18-19 Crores. So it is sure that the distributors will incur huge losses. The exact amount of losses will be found out in about a week or two. The overseas distributor is the one to lose the most.
It should be recalled that Ram's last release 'Nenu Sailaja' grossed more than $630K and now 'Hyper' has failed so terrible as it could just manage $110K by end of its first week. More than 80% of losses is predicted for the US buyer.
