This movie is directed by hot shot director KS Ravi Kumar and produced by Oscar Ravi Chandran .First Time a South India film carries English Subtitles which never happened before.
Dr.Kamal Hassan who has won Padmashree Portraying ten different uniquely etched characters, he brings each of them to life with his unmatched versatility. He has also penned the racy screenplay himself. Films also have 2 beautiful ladies Asin and Mallika Sherawat have acted opposite Kamal in this film with a special appearance from the beautiful Jaya Pradha.
Starting in the 12th Century AD at the Chidambaram temple complex in South India, the film will take the viewers on a heady roller-coaster ride across time and continents. The master storyteller, in an intriguing screenplay, weaves the chaos theory and the multiple chain of events that follow into one cohesive, thrilling narrative. Spinning the story of 'Dasavathaaram' is as difficult and arduous a task as explaining the 10 different characters played by Dr. Kamal Haasan; yet another one-of-a kind-attempt in world cinema by the thespian.
'Dasavatharam' interestingly has two music directors. Himesh Reshamiya has scored the music for songs which have come out very well. The background music for the film has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
