Simran Bagga is popular as Simran. Her original name is Rishibala and was born on April 4, in Mumbai.
She had two sisters both younger to her. Though her mother tongue is Punjabi, she speaks Hindi and Tamil with much eloquence. As she was fluent in Tamil, she had an easy access into the Tamil film industry.
She made her debut appearance on the screen with 'Sirf Thum' but shot into limelight with 'Tere Mere Sapne'. She later on moved south to the Tamil movie industry and Telugu movie industry where she established herself as an actress of repute.
She was brought into Telugu film industry through 'Indra Prastham', which was a failure. However, she earned a good name with 'Maa Naannaku Pelli'.
Later, she played heroine opposite all the top heroes in the Telugu film industry including Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Kamal Hassan, Harikrishna and others.
Simran is a versatile dancer and can perform Bharatanatyam with the same ease as she performs Salsa. She can change expressions quickly and has a photogenic face.
She is famous for her hip shaking and dances in a titillating and sensual way. In 2004, she married to Deepak Bagga, her childhood friend and gave birth to a boy on June 13, 2005 and currently resides in Delhi.
She has taken an extended break from acting since her marriage. However, she is presently doing an important role in a film, 'Okka Magaadu' opposite Balakrishna.
