Rumours are abuzz that budget of 'ISM' has exceeded the estimate and Kalyan Ram has to bear the losses even after the end of pre-release business. As per the speculations, 'ISM' was made with a budget of Rs 25 crore but it fetched only Rs 20 crore in return. People even began assuming 'ISM' is another big blow to the Nandamuri Hero after 'OM 3D' debacle.
Kalyan Ram gave a clarity on his financial position during the promotions of 'ISM'. Clarifying that 'ISM' wasn't made with a very high budget, He admitted that the budget has indeed exceeded the initial estimate. He, however, rubbished the reports about his financial crisis. 'Why would I keep producing films if I am in such a bad position?,' he questioned.
When quizzed why is he not signing films for other production houses, Kalyan Ram replied, 'Even I wish to work for other banners but everything has to fall in place. Sometime, I prefer producing my films if I like the subject so much or if I wish to take the risk in it! After ISM, I would focus on signing films of outside banners'.
