The cyclone crossed the Tamil Nadu coast and the intensity of the cyclone has been reduced.
As per the reports emerging, 2 people have considered dead because of the Cyclone Vardah that hit suddenly the coast of Tamil Nadu. The cyclone has hit the land with the speed of 110-130 kmph which has left a lot of havoc in the city of Chennai. Strong winds and heavy rain hit the coast while the cyclone has left recently.
However, it is predicted that the heavy rain might continue for another 4-5 hours in Chennai. The villages near the coast in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu were evacuated so that there wouldn’t be any loss of life. A huge property loss has been reported and has also been witnessed in the videos captured.
The airport of Chennai has halted 50 flight services as water reached the airport as well. Trains between Chennai-Egmore were cancelled and local trains have also been cancelled for time being. Most of the schools and colleges were declared a holiday because of the kind of effect the cyclone had.
