The week-long 15th International Children's Film Festival went off well, despite the usual organization glitches and mud-slinging by the bureaucrats involved in its organisation.
However, it was a good platform for the Chinese filmmakers as their films were most popular. One film which was particularly watched thanks to its touching and inspiring storyline was the film Invisible Wings.
However, the filmmaker Feng Zhenzhi left the country even before he could receive the Golden Elephant for his film.
He had an evening flight and given the lack of Chinese translators, he couldn't wait to receive the award, though it was touted as the winner since the very first day.
The rest of the ceremony was lackluster as not many filmmakers turned up to take the awards and the Chairperson of the CFSI, Nafisa Ali, took on the state government for not organizing the event properly.
