Mega Star Chiranjeevi remained in the No. 1 position in the Telugu film industry for the past 25 years and performed in several sensational films. He moulded his career in itself a career of records.
Though he remained on top of everyone in the film industry, he remained humble, never forgot his past and continued to serve the society in many forms. With the inspiration given by Bharata Ratna Mother Teresa, he launched blood banks and saved many lives by providing the life-saving blood to many patients through his blood banks.
Later, he started eye banks to provide light to many blind people. Whenever the Mega Star starts a service activity, his fans reacted to all of them positively and are strengthening his hands. Very recently, he had also launched a movement against the AIDS.
When everyone is thinking of their own family, his own children and himself in a selfish way, the Mega Star is thinking about the common men, though he is on a high pedestal. Keeping all his service activities in view and his high stature in the Telugu cinema, the Government of India had awarded him with one of the highest civilian award like 'Padma Bhushan'.
In addition, the first citizen of India and President APJ Abdul Kalam personally visited the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust and complimented his service activities.
Now, the Andhra University, from where Chiranjeevi received his degree recognized his talent in acting, awarded him with an honorary doctorate and presented him 'Kala Prapoorna' award on November 6.
The Mega Star received the 'Kala Prapoorna' from the State Governor and Chancellor of the university Rameshwar Thakur.
