Up until recently, speculations were rife that two of the most anticipated films of next year, Baahubali: The Conclusion and Robot 2.0, would be clashing at the box-office. While it would have perhaps been the monster of all clashes in Indian cinematic history, the trade was none too enthusiastic about the prospect. However, putting all such rumors to rest, Rana Daggubati, one of the principle actors of the Baahubali franchise has confirmed that the films wouldn’t be clashing at the box-office.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Rana has said that Baahubali 2 is still being shot, after which plenty of post-production work remains. Given the scale and premise of the film, it will obviously demand a lot of time for the visual effects and editing. In fact, the film was supposed to release this year, but got delayed due to the same reason that Daggubati is citing. The actor confirms that Baahubali: The Conclusion will now be releasing on 14th April 2017.
Robot 2.0 stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson while Baahubali: The Conclusion retains more or less the same cast from the original.
