Are media reviews going to be proven wrong? Is Naga Chaitanya’s dream to score a Million Dollar film going to be unachieved with ‘Premam?’ Well, these are the questions sure to strike us if ‘Premam’ Monday collections are analyzed. Agreed that, Naga Chaitanya’s wonderful portrayal of Vikram has strike a chord with youth and family audience but how far is it getting translated into currency at ticket counters is the final matter. After getting on to a decent start with Thursday premiere shows in USA grossing $74K, word of mouth publicity and positive reviews pushed the film on high with $134K, $191K and $117K on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively taking total to $ 522,254.However, Monday proved to be dismal because a mere $34K is reported from all centers. Good news is the film has effortlessly surpassed half million benchmark by weekend but with Monday’s lessened pace, how many more days ‘Premam’ needs to touch Million Dollar goes unanswered. As of now the total stands at $ 557,101 till Monday… half way more to go.
