Gangster Nayeem has become a topic of discussion across all circles in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Media which is ready to milk the most out of any sensational happening, has used Nayeem’s encounter to its advantage.
Now after media over sensationalising a crooked criminal like Nayeem, now sensational director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has jumped into the Nayeem bandwagon. RGV has a fetish for dark subjects and mafia and criminal elements. RGV announced through his twitter that he will be making a three part movie series on Nayeem.
“Just gathered entire information on Nayeemuddin from multiple sources. His crimes over the years are full of truly hair rising details. Nayeemuddin’s transformation from a naxalite to a police informant to a underworld gangster to become an all time Criminal no.1 is scary. Nayeemuddin’s story is so complex and with so much of content that it’s impossible to justify it by telling it in only one feature film. Am going to make a 3 part film on the Nayeem story ..Rakthacharitra had only two parts..Nayeem will have 3 parts,” tweeted RGV just hours ago today.
Though RGV’s tweets might create interest among some, many are also expressing ire that, these type of statements, movies (if at all it is really made) will only further create hype for criminals and influence younger generation badly.
Also RGV comparing his proposed film on Nayeem with Rakta Charitra is also paining many, as there is no comparison between people like Paritala Ravindra, Maddelacheruvu Suri and Nayeemudduin. While Paritala Ravi and Suri came from a socio-political background and were forced to take to violence, due to various compulsions, Nayeem is just a cold blooded selfish criminal.
