AICC President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Film Festival conducted by the Children's Film Society of India at Delhi on November 14.
Addressing the audience, Ms Gandhi called for films which would promote unity among children. Children's films should not only provide entertainment but also impart knowledge to students.
These children's films should highlight our customs, traditions, culture and heritage, she said. Children's films should also have a good message. She also called upon the people to save children from child labour.
Children's films from various languages would be screened at the Golden Jubilee Film Festival at Sirifort Auditorium in Delhi till November 18. 'Ganga Bhavani,' a Telugu film by Prakash Rao is one of the films to be screened at the festival.
