Srikanth is certainly enduring the worst slump of his career. None of his recent movies have come close to being called even a middling hit.
But the actor, who has graduated to middle-aged roles, is not unduly worried.
He thinks it is only a question of turning it around with a single movie. And he feels would be Mayajalam.
Made by his mentor, friend and everything else, SVK, Mayajalam is a ray of hope for Srikanth.
The fun-filled family caper will have every ingredient that S V Krishna Reddy is famous for.
SVK is very optimistic that the movie will come good. 'It is a different role for Srikanth. He plays the head of a marriage bureau. It is full of fun'.
It will be different, he says, letting loose the oldest cliche in the book.
Mayajalam will be as good, if not better, like his previous hits like Mayalodu, Ghatothkachudu and Yamaleela.
For Srikanth, this is his 10th film with SVK. 'I am very comfortable working with him. We understand and compliment each other'.
Achi Reddy is the producer.
The movie is set for summer release.
