Sunil reached Hyderabad from Bhimavaram in West Godavari district to become a film artiste. He roamed around the studios and production offices along with his friend Akella Srinivas. Sunil had promised his mother that he would enter the film industry and earn a good position within three years.
Otherwise, he assured her that he would return to Bhimavaram. Though Sunil got several small time roles in films, he could not get enough recognition. However, he got a good opportunity in 'Nuvve Kavali' as comedian wherein he earned a good name as Rs 100-Babai.
From then onwards, there was no looking back for this comedian and Sunil became one of the top 10 comedians in the Telugu film industry with successive hits like 'Chirunavvu', 'Nuvvu-Nenu', 'Manasantha Nuvve' and 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachav'.
Sunil believed that 'Hard work would always pay', which pushed him further in the film industry and he became a hero with 'Andala Ramudu'. The film, produced on the banner of Mega Super Good Films, has become the biggest ever news in the film trade as it continued a steady collections right from the day one.
Though the film completed 50 days, the flow of audiences remained steady. Sunil's performance dominated the glamour of Arthi Agarwal also and his dances reminded of Mega Star Chiranjeevi.
Several producers were surprised at the performance and dancing capabilities of Sunil. His film 'Andala Ramudu' had collected crores of rupees to his producers and made the top producers to turn their head towards Sunil.
Though Sunil is busy as a comedian, he is getting good offers from various producers to play hero in their films. However, Sunil is said to have decided to tread a careful path instead of hurrying with the offers. He reportedly agreed to do a film under the direction of his friend Trivikram Srinivas immediately.
