Born to a lorry driver in Gudivida, YVS Choudary is a great fan of the late NT Rama Rao. As he loved NTR, he bunked the school in the middle and reached Madras to become a director.
He faced several odds in the beginning of his career and finally achieved what he wanted. He turned a director with 'Seetaramula Kalyanamu Chootamu Raarandi'.
He earned a place among the directors as the one who did not compromise. After a few years of his career, he launched a banner called 'Bommarillu Vari' and started producing films on his own.
His films like 'Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo', Seetaiah, Seetharamaraju and Yuvaraju' were proved big hits. Very recently he brought out a film with two new faces called Ram and Ileana and produced a film 'Devadasu' in his own direction.
The film which began with an average talk, turned a big blockbuster after a few weeks. Presently he is directing Balakrishna for 'Okka Magaadu' in his own banner.
